Built Not Begged Partners: The Affiliate and Partner Program Plugin Running Live on BoldTeeHub

If you sell online, other people will sell for you if you give them a fair way to do it. That is an affiliate program. The problem is that running one takes real machinery. People have to sign up. Somebody has to approve them. Their referrals have to be credited to the right person. They need to see how they are doing. And when they earn money, the commissions have to be tracked straight.

Built Not Begged Partners is the plugin we built to run that machinery for ourselves.

What it does

Built Not Begged Partners is an affiliate and partner program plugin. It handles partner signup and approval, so people can apply to become partners and you stay in control of who gets in. Not everybody who signs up is automatically a partner.

It handles referral attribution. When a partner sends a customer your way, that referral is credited to that partner. Attribution is the whole trust of a program. If partners do not believe their referrals are counted right, they stop promoting, and they should.

It gives partners their own dashboards. A partner can see their own side of the program instead of emailing you to ask how they are doing.

And it handles commissions. What a partner earns is tracked in the system, tied to the referrals that were attributed to them.

The licensing rule built into it

Partners carries the house license client built in, and our licensing rule is different from how most sellers do it.

A license gates upgrades and downloads only. An installed copy never shuts down over a license state. Read that again, because it is the promise. If your license lapses or has a problem, the copy you already installed keeps running. What you lose without a valid license is access to new versions through upgrades and downloads, not the software you are already using to run your program.

Your business should never go dark because of a license check. We built it that way on purpose, and Partners passed the licensing end-to-end test on the test store to prove it works the way we say it does.

Where it stands

The current version is 0.2.0. It is running live on BoldTeeHub today. This is not a planned plugin or a coming soon page. It runs a real program on a real store right now, and the licensing behavior was tested end to end on the test store before we said any of this in public.

Price and availability, honestly

Here is the straight part. Built Not Begged Partners has no listed price yet, and it is not yet listed in the builtnotbegged.com store. We are not going to invent a price or a buy button before there is one. For now, the public home for this project is its GitHub repository, and that is where the closing link below takes you.
