BUILT NOT BEGGED
LocalPro Sitemap Free: Take Ownership of Your WordPress Sitemap
Your sitemap should not be a surprise
Your sitemap tells search engines what is on your site. If you do not control it, you do not control what you are handing them. Pages you meant to keep back can end up listed. Content you protected can get treated like it is public. That is a problem you can fix at the source.
LocalPro Sitemap Free gives you native WordPress sitemap ownership controls. Native is the key word. It works with the sitemap system WordPress already has, and puts you in charge of it, instead of bolting on a separate system you have to babysit.
What it does
The core job is ownership. You get controls over your WordPress sitemap so the decisions about what belongs in it are yours, made on purpose, not leftovers from defaults.
Those controls include exclusions. LocalPro Sitemap Free lets you exclude public, password, and noindex content from the sitemap. Each of those is a real case on real sites.
Public content is the obvious case. Some public pages still do not belong in the sitemap you submit. Password content is different. If a page is behind a password, listing it in a public sitemap makes no sense. Noindex content is the clearest case of all. If you told search engines not to index a page, that page should not be sitting in your sitemap contradicting you.
The addon also includes existing SEO-plugin conflict detection. A lot of WordPress sites already run an SEO plugin, and those plugins often have their own sitemap ideas. Running two systems at once without knowing it is how you end up with confusion and duplicate output. Conflict detection surfaces that problem instead of letting it sit quiet under your site.
Who it is for
This is for WordPress site owners who want their sitemap cleaned up and under their own control. It is for builders and operators who inherit sites, open the sitemap, and find content in there that should never have been listed.
It is also for anyone running an SEO plugin today who wants to know, clearly, whether there is a conflict before it turns into a mess. Knowing is most of the fix.
The problem it solves
Sitemaps fail quietly. Nobody gets an alert when a password page shows up in one, or when noindex content gets listed anyway, or when two plugins are fighting over the same job. You find out later, usually when you are trying to figure out why search results look wrong.
Ownership controls, the right exclusions, and conflict detection solve that at the root. You decide what is in. Protected and noindex content stays out. Conflicts get named instead of hidden.
