Taylor Quinn Theme: A Black and Purple Author Portfolio Theme for WordPress

An author site has one main job. It has to present the writer and the work in a way that looks like it belongs to that author, and it has to be easy to keep up to date without fighting the theme every time a page changes.

Plenty of themes fail on one side or the other. They look decent but lock your content down. Or they give you control and look like everybody else’s site.

The Taylor Quinn Theme is the theme built for the Taylor Quinn author site itself, and it was built to do both jobs.

What it is

The Taylor Quinn Theme is a black and purple author portfolio theme. That color scheme is not an accident and it is not a preset we are embarrassed about. Black and purple is the look. It is bold, it is dark, and it stands apart from the plain white templates most author sites end up using.

It is a portfolio theme, built to present an author’s body of work. If the point of your site is to show who you are and what you have written, that is the shape this theme was made in.

What it does

The theme comes with editable WordPress content. Your content stays in WordPress, where you can edit it like WordPress content should be edited. You are not digging through theme files to change words on a page.

It has responsive navigation. Your visitors will land on your site from phones, tablets, and desktops, and the navigation has to work on all of them. Responsive navigation means the menu adapts to the screen instead of breaking on the smaller ones.

It also has page-builder section controls. Sections of the page can be controlled through the page builder, so you can adjust how a page is put together using controls built for the job.

Who it is for

This is for authors building a portfolio site on WordPress who want a strong, dark look and do not want to give up control of their own content to get it. If black and purple fits your brand the way it fits ours, this theme is worth a look.

Where it stands

The current version is 2026.10.5.01. It is working on our own sites right now. This is not a mockup or a concept. It runs the real thing.
